I’m an urban prairie girl with a need for fresh air. I grew in a small Manitoba town, but have spent the past 10 years in Regina. My cycling experience was limited to grassy hills and gravel roads until I hit the Regina pavement in April 2011. The closest I had come to an obstacle in my bike path was the lone telephone pole that stood tall in my yard growing up. Now, I’m dodging cars, trucks, people, fellow bikers, the odd dog. But it’s worth it to watch my fitness level grow while my carbon footprint shrinks.

I am a dedicated Regina cyclist of 5 years (now moved to another city). I have biked through rain, deep snow, and the Regina heat. I have continued to build my reliance on cycling, using it to buy groceries, cycle to school and work, even traverse the city to the Galaxy theatre. I am always interested in finding a new interesting path to bike, or suggest a well weathered one to a new rider. I have also learned basic bicycle repair and maintenance, which is a must for frequent riders.
